I spoke with a young woman in Dallas yesterday and one thing lead to another...... well, I have accepted a position to run her Houston office. I will still teach - this will be sort of a director's jo {in a way}. More info will be on the way!!
In other news, RDC II are having auditions on January 13, 2012 -- inqiure via email or call.
Plus, I have to audition a young lady for the company's trainee's next week.
So, alot of great news and a newness to the business. YES!

Ah...the last month of the year and always career aspected - but, this year is a little different {and exciting}. I am working on new reels and will be posed shortly. In addition, My Facebook page is inactive {due to too much drama}. However, I am thinking of making he inactive acc't only professionla-sort of like how my Myspace was.

About the teacher/choreographer~~~ Ms. Wenda L. Koon has several years in of study in ballet, pointe, tap, lyrical, jazz, and choreography. Ms. Koon is also the Artistic Director of Resurrection Dance Company; RDC. Her work has been placed on companies and has been seen at competitions.

Halloween and the next day is 11/01 {my father's passing anniversary}. Alot has happened and not! I have two meetings.... with 2 different studios. One is for holding privates/rehearsals and the other is for doing workshops and master classes. Whoo hoo! {fingers crossed} The bad news -- I hurt my back and the hips are out....how lovely. Not. Today was a pretty good, considering. More later........

An open letter to a working junkie {who I knew}......

I have been incognito for some time now, and I apologize for no news in any form or
fashion. I have been spent the past two months focusing on a relationship {personal}
that was not to be. But we learn from our mistakes. The lesson I learned is this:
someone will latch onto you even from far away and not tell you that they have a
problem. So, you are dragged into their 'three ring circus' of drama... only this drama
was called drugs. Yes, I knew someone who is into marijuana and possibly pain killers.
The word, knew.

I am very embarrased by the fact I had no clue that he was a working junkie and I
supported him. Well, as Christians are supposed to do - I told him of his problem and
he flat out denied it {in a round about way}. Well....... I had to sever contact with him. I
cannot and will not allow him to bring me down with him.
I do hope he can find the strength to get the help he needs, and then we could resume
our friendship.

In closing, to him.....
You will see that your friends/colleagues are having a party at your expense and when it
comes to an abrupt halt they will leave and you will be alone and they will have moved
onto their next victim. But, right now, I am the bad guy and a real drag -- meaning no
fun. Well, at least I am not damaging my body with chemicals and have a long life to
live.

Today, I woke up to a horrific aching pain in my knee at 4:30AM. Rude awakening.... Afterwards, the pain finally subsided and I did some rehearsing....and I begun Adele's Rolling in the Deep. I really like that song. I first heard it on The Voice {the best vocal show by far}. I still have alot to finish. I also worked on Bush's Little Things.

So, the first six months of 2011 are gone and now we are in the second part of the year. Alot of things I have tried to make happen and hardly no avail. I went to two job interviews and no luck. Had to find another studio for classes/rehearsals--almost there {spoke to a new place on Tuesday}.
The job interviews.....I dunno....the last one. I am not the employer, rather the employee being interviewed and therefore its not my responsibility to call the owner. I have to assume she is not serious or is unequipped to run a business. Nevertheless, I am not the person who is hiring and calling the place of business to see if she considered me is out of the question. BUSINESS RULE OF THUMB--always call every applicant back, follow thru on your words, and return all calls back within 24 hours, even to reschedule. That's is business is conducted.

Well, with all of that said and done, I found a place to teach and hold rehearsals - now, just waiting to see studios and set the schedule. I am going ahead with my camps, and summer things for Dancer Enterprise {see blog for those activities}.
This morn, I had a dream that my mother was accepting tuition forms and money for the summer camps. Odd and the weirdest dream ever! Maybe, that is a good sign.

Yesterday, was my rehearsal for the first time since January of 2011. I haven't been able to find a studio for five months and finally -- found one. Well, the rehearsal was short {due to not dancing a long time}, but went well. I went over old pieces and begun Bush's Greedy Fly and Pokerface {finally}. I also got invited to the recital this weekend. Yay!

The best news I gotten since quit my former job in mid March. I got an email from a former teacher of mine. I have been inquiring about rental space for 6 weeks--4 inquiries and zip. Today, I got the go ahead to begin rehearsing/teaching. THE. BEST. NEWS. IN. A LONG TIME!!!!!
I had gotten to my wits end with no opp's popping up for 4 months!!!
the best part is this studio is being moved to Katy, and so it will be empty--maybe I can take it over. I came so close in September of 2007.

So, I began re-working the schedule/updating, added a FB page, revised the blog.....and I am not finished.

One more day until Easter.... whoo hoo! I don't really have things planned. Been doing admin work today and a couple days of last week. I have updated the website {WLK} - added the message board, updated the Promotional page, and tweaked here and there. I also added the concert program to the Rep Series site and updated.
I am also seeking out new studio space. I emailed a old teacher of mine who is currently preparing to move her studio to Katy, Texas. she is not sure what she's going to do with that location. So, I asked about space for rehearsal and classes and awaiting a response. It would be so nice to have my own place--came so close in September of 2007.

Conducting business and a personal issue

I am not in a very nice mood. I am dealing with a personal problem. I don't discuss personal issues on this blog as it is for personal use. But, this time is very different. I was corresponding with a man who was verbally abusive. Only I did not know that at that time. It took the conversation of a colleague to get me to realise that is what it was. I had no idea of me being told that I was too much, too much drama, or anything I was blamed for was verbal abuse. I could not see it--but yet, I always cried after reading his emails. Every relationship I had has ended badly...and now, I see most of them were due to verbal abuse.

*On a flipside, when I contact others for business, I find that people cannot conduct themselves as professional. You are supposed to return calls/emails back with 24 hours--even, if you cannot discuss the matter at hand. Pick up a business book--you will see it there. Plus, my father trained me in how to do business. That's my own verbal abusive stemming from the torment I had inflicted upon me. Yes, I am always battling my own anger/abuse issues...but I control it. Also, I can acknowledge the fact that I am verbally abusive.

Back to the inflicted pain, you would think I could recognize it. I posted something on Twitter/FB, and no one said anything {except for one person}. The person who pointed out this to me is not at all included {you know who you are and I appreciate you very much}. I thought abuse was a serious thing in America. Maybe it is for everyone else. I believe that my "friends" really do not care and therefore, feel I deserve it. If I had not wised up and listened, I would have not been writing this.

And to those friends......... dam you.
If I had no sense, or one person chose not to tell me anything I would have ended up in a shelter for battered women. {I guess the thought of me losing everything was not enough for me, I needed more}

Work flashbacks!

Today, feels like it did when MISA was in business. I have been trying to get some rest and the emails to return, send out, phone calls to make/answer. My mom contacted our NY contact for MISA {he really wants something to work out}. Out of that came this:

a. we found an old contact that is currently building a new shopping strip
b. another former client wanted to resend the bid proposal from October 2010

I had a sub spot today but had to decline....10 hours both days and I could not do it. Oh well, maybe I was not supposed to do it!

I am going this week to look at a new studio. Exciting........

I have not had said anything about the quake in Japan. I feel so helpless as I cannot, myself do anything for them. I don't have funds to spare already. But there are thousands coming in from people and the US military are getting involved.
on a lighter side - one of my ALL TIME FAVOURITE BANDS is in Houston tonight........ KISS!! Over 70, 000 people are expected to show. One word--amazing!

I have been sending out emails for dance, teaching, and choreo jobs; of course no response. Last night I sent out an email for a teaching position.... and received a response this morning. I am scheduled to come in tomorrow to perform and sell myself {for teaching}! I am a little confused--but also excited. The position is Monday thru Friday from 3-6Pm; teaching ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, and hip hop.
I am confused as to why I have to perform {but am happy happy to do it!!}; usually you audit a class. So, I am thinking that performing is involved as well as teaching.
In all, I am happy. Now, the hard part is finding one piece, sorting the makeup, and costuming.

I am sicken by the mass number of people who have lots and yet, will not assist another properly. You can read my thoughts on this at Morals and Ethics. {in the page--these are clearly people with neither morals or ethics}. It counts a true story in 2010 for two people who I know-with a twist. Read and you will be shocked.

I do feel sorry for them, though. They can strive to be a better person, yet, will not.

New-- A competition... choreographic

Yes! I was on my FB acc't and I kept seeing this link for a choreography competition {Ballet Austin}. I clicked onto it and it has been the best thing I have done since February begun.

So, I will be submitting info ASAP. This is a great opp for any seasoned choreographer. The perks are incredible!!
Have the opp to set a 15-20 minute suite, rehearsal space, theater facilities/lighting and design functions, usage of the company's dancers access to lighting, 2 week choreographic residency spot;and the best part is that a $2,000.00 for accommodations. Each participant only pays $50.00 entry fee.

I am very excited about this venture!

Admin day and cooking

There's not alot to report on since February has begun. This coming Wednesday {in two days} I will head into the studio do Pokerface. I was supposed to go in last week--but it decided to freeze--in Texas. It was supposed to snow. Yes, snow. In Texas.
I also downloaded a couple of other songs as well, including Elevation by U2--the live version. LOVE THIS VERSION!! Don't know if I can really work the choreography to it or not. We'll see.
On another note, we got crock pot, and have been experimenting with it, cooking and all. well, mom decided to put pinto beans and white rice together to cook. Well, the rice cooked--but the beans were not ready. So, that meant we had to throw out the concoction. Two days worth of food. Gone.

Will it ever cease to exsist?? I woke up with my lower back hurting--and still is. I had a sneezing fit last night, and I think that aggravated my back--hence, resulting in a pinched nerve. Which is a muscle sitting on the vertabrae and not moving. Sounds lovely doesn't?? It isn't.
Then there's the tendinitis...... that has been bothering me since Dec. 22nd. I don't know how that got re-activated. On top of that, my whole body is out of alignment. {as one person pointed out in Sept -- you're leaning to one side, are you hurting in your back}**
So, all of this pain prevents me from working in normal job. Like normal 9-5 jobs. Hard a** concrete flooring!!!
I should really recant my list of injuries -new/old, but, really is that want I would to read. I am just not having a great day or week for that matter. Everything I was working on just came to a standstill this week. This has never happened before. {in my astrology, I am supposed to start with money and lots of it on 01/22---we'll see...} So, I am not all that in a good state of mind....just tired of alot of things. Mainly people who haven't believed me {esp--my injuries} when I am not feeling well. One word, a**holes. Okay, two words, a loser.
Anyways..... I am not wasting time and energy on deadbeats, losers, and the like. Now, if I could live one week pain free--it would be a blessing. Maybe I need to buy a bit of LA legalized pot. Now, there's an idea!!! I would feel better... until the effect wore off.
on happier news, I will begin Pokerface in February. I am watching the skating routine to get an idea of what to do.
** this refers to how some people who notice something is out of whack with your body--and you don't even say anything; as in someone who you tell and doesn't believe your pain is real. She's a dance teacher and if I were a mother I would pull my child out of the class--because injuries are serious and a teacher should take them seriously.......

I figured out that pics are very easy. Video is another story. Yes, Angel By Sarah Mac got videoed-but there is no sound! So, I don't know what to do.
My audition canceled today-but we are going to reschedule. In all, today was pretty good. No complaints. Alot of personal things happened as well at the studio-but I cannot go into that. But I did sit and have along chat with my ballroom teacher---alot of it was just getting to know each other. Which I assume is okay--I am going to be training under him for along time, so, it is only right.

MONDAY-- admin work
TUESDAY-- off
WEDNESDAY-- solo rehearsal/ballroom lesson {this is every other week - both activities}
THURSDAY-- admin work
FRIDAY-- off
SATURDAY-- teach at HDF; RDC II rehearsals

I am also making inquiries re: teaching/choreography. Also, I had a conversation with a young man who is looking for a dancer/choreographer for his group. He is doing a series of Michael Jackson songs.
Injury wise, I am having a small problem with my tendinitis in my toe -- but the RICE method is working. I also have developed a shoulder injury. I don't know how I did that. *
In other "bright' news, I just know I will enjoy to the fullest my new ballroom lesson. My teacher is very hands on--which I like!

Well a new year is here......much better than 2010..... out with old friends and in with new ones!!

Well, this morn I awoke tired as hell, but, I could not stay in and rest. I had a light rehearsal, then a ballroom private with my teacher {Enrique}. I started a new piece of choreography -- Janie's Got a Gun by Aerosmith. I believe I reactivated the tendonitis in my toe. Ouch!
In other news, I am trying to decide what classes I want to advertise for. I am also holding auditions for RDC II next weekend.
Positive thing for 2011.... I got my laptop. Well, its not mine {mine was stolen} .... but this one is new ---- and, with a webcam. I have never used a webcam. So, hopefully, while I save funds I can use the webcam to do video.
And.....I had breakfast at the Kolache Factory {never been there, was good, will go back}.

Just catching up with the last minute work goals. I hope everyone who reads this has a wonderful 2011..... I WILL!! Just a word to everyone:
treat everyone with kindness, understanding, forgiveness, and ......... give, even if not asked to do so.
Not alot of people in this world do know the true meaning of giving and it is something everyone should strive for. Example---- I gave a woman a couple of dollars and did not have to/did not have it and I was rewarded with a check the next day! It works, give and you shall recieve.
If you feel you were slighted--then perhaps, looking into the mirror and see what you looking back -- a loving person or a terrible person. Basically, if you are feeling slighted {if after many months/years}, then let it go. Nothing of good can come from it for yourself. Begin afresh!!!

Sad news at holiday time

Today, upon opening my email account, I found out that Jim Kerr's mother had passed recently due to cancer {I believe}. Very sad during this time of the year. I remember my passing at holiday time w/ my own father. Many prayers and wishes, please..... Nothing more to speak of.

I am in the middle of doing several things!! I might not have the normal end of the year recap as I am very busy. Let's see what I have been up to---
First, I finished rehearsal yesterday and began {or reviewed/added onto} 2 new pieces for 2011 --- Angel and I Can't Take My Eyes Off of You!!
I am forming a youth competitive dance team for teens
Also, I am forming a second company for RDC -- a more serious approach for teens; those who want to perform professionally.
I have been offered a job teaching at Houston Dance Factory--begining in January
And........I am doing a second location for Dancer Enterprise -- in the Heights area

Well, I sat yesterday and composed a new blog, Morals and Ethics. It is a blunt and honest approach to people in this world who could really give a care to anyone either than themselves.

It really sadens me to learn that too many of people today only are in it for themselves. I always gave to charity, others, and assisted people {even when I ddin't need to}. It was my Christian duty as a human being {and following Christ}. To this day, I am still owed money.... but the point is that I GAVE.

I really hope this blog will open and broaden people's minds and learn how to be one with God... it is so important.

The people who read it will either be aggrivated or cheer on.... the former -- well, they are not for God.

2010 Year Review

This post is different this year --alot of headaches mainly due to people who haven't got a clue of what its like to be without. We are suppose to not judge--but, how many will actually do that?? Just a bit of the year---

Well, that can be many things.... old collegues who really weren't supportive, family {they are a joke}, or could be the drama induced email from a past landlord who chose to involve my biz in the mix {people these days and with families}

More will not be mention - as alot of drama from other people {who think they are doing a "good deed"}

Rep Series, RDC II, and other news

The Rep Series is being postponed {indefiantly} due to financial constraints {an explanation of why is forthcoming}. The second company is going to go forth as planned...but will probably take place in January.
An end of the year post is coming shortly--which, ironically, sums up what the Rep Series is about. This year has been an unuasual year to say the least. There will be alot of affected people once it is posted {that is if they really care}.

Two, yes your eyes are not decieving you! I am forming a second company for RDC{my dance company}. It is odd how things always get planned in the winter months of the year for the company.The company was formed on Halloween of 2002.
The auditions are slated for:
November 20 at @ 2:30PM... bring a $20.00 for the fee. In other news, I auditioned a dancer yesterday. He was well versed a has a good work ethic. We are working on our schedules.

Still awaiting the outcome of the meeting--so, we had our NY contact send a follow up call. I have to auditon a young man this week, resume rehearsals, and access a new student--so a full week awaits--plus, other personal items {that I won't mention...its a professional/business blog}.

I am kind of excited--I won something from McDonald's--a snapfish {have no clue what that is}! So, that is well and all.

Classes have been non- exsistent all of this month and last week they starting picking up for November.
OH! I will be putting up info for consulting {dance} this month...Stay tuned!

Well, more news..... it is not dance related -- but is good....
I along with my mother have a meeting with a prospective client on Monday. The meeting was actually set up in NY by our contact there. He could not plan it accordlingly to make it to Texas--so we are stepping in for him. This is actually on acc't that my father had in the early 90's--that's a great reccomendation!

First off-Vincent D'Onofrio is coming back to L&O:CI!!! Well, that is not dance-related--but I am happy....I guess the ratings went down.
Now......
Rehearsal went well yesterday. We got invited to Houston Dance Factory's Christmas Show! So, glad we already begun. Taught yesterday, and got two other hip hop inquiries as well. Tomorrow, is rehearsal again...yay!! Its really going nicely with my new dancer. I have to still put up her bio on the website. Also, need to take new rehearsal pics. I was also thinking about doing a pic for the actual show in 2011 Jan.
I also sent in my resume for 2 job positions...so, well see.
Last night, I also recieved an email in regards to my mother's and I security biz--he's got a prospective client who wants to speak with us ASAP. So much exciting news. {HAPPY FACE}

What a day it has been so far..........I had to audition a young lady this morn--I hired her as well. Our first rehearsal is this Wednesday. We are rehearsing for the Rep Series and she will be conducting an dance team with me next week as well. I have to teach tonight as well--Hip Hop...and getting more students. I am going to have to make another class--the response is overwhelming!!
I an inquiring about a private ballet lesson for myself sometime next week--- just to brush up on my tech. And hopefully, will do a ballroom lesson as well.

Today is admin work {and listening to Simple Minds--helps pass the time}. I heard back from the collage dancer/student....... and she is interested in performing in the Rep Series. Also, I had a great class yesterday and will probably have a private in jazz tomorrow. In all......it has been very good. I am planning the actual date of the Rep Series, programs, and flyers/invites. So, all is left is planning who does what, rehearsals, costuming {not my fave area}. And, I just thought I would have a day of rest--ha!

Yes, I do! So excited.... Let's begin.
First off, I have three students in my hip hop class and I have combined two classes into one. That's great. Second, while sending out a mailing list, I had one young lady who is a dance major at Sam Houston State who is interested in perform to help expand her dance knowledge. I advised her of the Rep Series. I have not mentioned alot about this--due to I have not had time for it really. But it is planned for the Fall...but looks like its going to extend into the winter.
Of course aside from that, I am doing admin work and working on DE's website....and added a Twitter page.

A day of working {rehearsal}

Tomorrow will be my first day back in rehearsal since July. Most of August I have been teaching and not doing any choreo. I can honestly say that I miss it--but I have never lost the thirst for it. It is what drives me to keep on going and creating. Afterall. I have been doing this for 20 years!! And I show no signs of stopping. But, to do something that you love and ENJOY it is only half of it.... to get recknonized by others is the plus mark. If you have acheived that--you are doing well for yourself. I got that "fame" in my late 20's thru early 30's. But now, I think my work is better. I think so.

So, tomorow, is a day where I hope to capture a new piece {East at Easter} and a spark will entail!! I love that song....so medolic and beautiful. I did this back about 15 years ago--with Bowie's Fame '90. That was done in one day. Another was done in 3 years {Winger's Down Incognito}!!! Sometimes it happens....and sometimes it doesn't.

Well, the holiday is over-anyone who really knows me knows that I do not like holidays--they mess up the work week. Today is the first day of classes {that is if the rain doesn't cause the streets to flood}.
My newsletter is behind--like that is really news to people's ears. I took a mini shopping trip to unwind before the busy pace begins....these past couple of days!!
So, just teaching, and will go back to rehearsal this week as well.

Septemeber is finally here!

I am so glad that September is finally here. I am still having classe inquiries and all. It looks like my Monday Hip Hop class is formed. Yay!!! I have an interest in a creative movement and jazz as well -- different days.

Next Monday is a holiday--so, I am scheduling classes for Monday on a different day so the children get the full 4 weeks.

I have not written in a long time...I am still alive {and well}. I just finished watching a short musical selection by an Iran musician....I was very taken with the music.{don't know what happened to the font!??}

Alot has happen and alot has not. I still have inquiries for classes {Dancer Enterprise}.....
September is going to be busy--that I can tell. I have so much work to do ---- Sept's newsletter, schedules {printing}, teaching, rehearsing, and phone/email inquiries!!

Plus, August marked a month of doctor's app'ts. I DO NOT like the doctor for any reason what-so-ever! I also had a physical exam to dertermine my disability status {a dancer's life is hard on the body and prevented me from working normal jobs}.

I had to turn down my former job w/ Satin Dance.... due to the confliction my DE's classes {sad face}. Oh well........

Rep Series......if you haven't noticed doesn't exsist at the address anymore. I have moved it to another server- www.repertoireseries.bravehost.com . I will be going back in September to begin rehearsing ... I took the month of August off.

Well, as you can tell, it's working again. I might be setting a contemporary/modern solo for a young woman. Details are in the process now. Also, tomorrow is my performance--it has been almost 8 months since the last performance!! I will post more info as soon as the month rolls around.

Off topic note--I saw Clash of the Titans yesterday--Liam Neeson played Zues {spelling} real well...and Ralph Fiennes as the evil underworld leader-great acting--both of them were great in it.

I have not been able to log onto this darn site for a whole week!! Alot has happeneed and all in a week. Our MISA contact in NY is ready to move down and work out the $$$ angle for the biz. I heard from Anthony re: Dance Register from out of the blue!! We have been emailing one another for biz purposes. So much...and Dancer Enterprise has classes and an intensive. PLus a perforamnce that I have to do--only now, I might have to graciously decline as I am too busy. And, once again I am hurting in my hip.......
and I am very tired.

I have been very busy since Sunday afternoon. I have booked a performance near the end of July for the Missionaries of Charity for their summer camp {children}. I will be performing selected pieces of the Rep Series as well as some ballet, lyrical, jazz, and contemporary. I will release more info as I create this mini performance!

The auditions are still going to be as scheduled. the date is: July 16, 2010. Please email to reserve your spot. wendalkoon@yahoo.com. The audition location is Houston Dance Factory; 3711 Hillcroft {Hillcroft @ Harwin}, on the 2nd floor.

There is alot to report since last Tuesday--my last rehearsal. I have not had the time to so as a personal life,and a re-newing business has erupted over night--literally. So, I will still hold auditions and rehearsals will begin either the second half of July or in August.

Beginning a new day and remembering our loved ones

Well, I am back after a short absence. My Vietnam, a little thing that I worked on in 2002-2003. There's a little drum cadence that's hard as ever to get {at least for me}. Its a mix of contempo/hip hop/improv. Improv is what I do best but, its too easy to do---really sitting in the studio is where the real work comes from.... doing the choreography. {the song is on the playlist}

What will I begin on next week when I head off to the studio?? I love the Queen piece - The Show Must Go On. Like the lyric says...... 'my makeups running.... another failed romance.... the show must go on'. So in hindsight, this show has to go on, even after all of the personal struggles, defeats, setbacks, and many more. But, my Duran Duran suite is my favourite of all of the pieces. Did I mention that its my first solo suite??!! I am proud---because most of them are RDC related. I will have to get out my U2 CD - Vertigo and just go for it. It will be hard becuase this piece, Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own is very emotional to me. It is about my father and how we always fought. I think it is important to pay homage to a deceased one by remembering their exsitance. If you never talk about them--I figure you did not love them enough. That's my theory.
This will be the first time performing it--and it was choreographed in 2005! There is a background on it as well.
{I just read the entry on this piece, and began to cry -- again. It's hard when people die and you are left here to reap the rest of living...sometimes I wish I was not here anymore.}

If you are a ballet lover...you really should checkout C F Kip Winger's classical piece Ghosts. He is not only a metal guy who studied ballet, but also has written progressive {that's what I call it} and now is venturing off into classical. The original piece of Ghosts can be found on his 2009 album, From the Sun to the Moon. San Fransico's Ballet choreogrpaher, Christopher Wheeldon has created a ballet to the 20 minute piece. Please take the time to browse his site and explore other links to his work and the dance world. The Hong Kong Ballet performed the ballet this May {2010}.

I found out about him at the age of 16 and he was a metal guy and now her he is in the genre of ballet and mentioned in this blog---about dance! WOW!!!

Working ....again!

So, upon moving {fingers crossed} I can begin teaching at my new studio - Houston Dance Factory.
I can actually continue on with Dancer Enterprise. I have been working on the site almost all day, adding children's classes and looking over the teen/adult classes. There is no longer a blog for it anymore...so, I guess I will have to create one--again!!
I am plan on having my next rehearsal late next week. Then I will plan on beginning classes on the 14th!!!
I spent yesterday annotating some videos on Youtube. That was fun. {!}
Tomorrow, I will be out of commision for almost all day. I am having to go up to Kingwood for my chiropracter's app't, see about my phone, and see about the June issue of Horoscope. So, while I am out that way I'll have dinner at Red Lobster {gift card}.

Repertoire Series - manipulation and deceit = FAILURE

As you can see the series has a sub-title...its still called Divine Intervention {that is givings from the Lord}. The manipulaltion..... is directed at the past five months of turmoil {meaning people} I have had to cope with-----
the words basically sum it up.

Last night I was working on the show order....wow, renaming songs very hard! I am again doing something I don't do, which is release the re-titled pieces. So, here's Act I!

I have not had time to do any changes {internets}. I am making changes though..... I don't know if anyone read {or cared for that matter} that my laptop was broken. Guess what? I am not getting it back. {it really was pawned....}
How am I posting this? Its called the library and internet. I did find files from my laptop--so all was not lost....thank goodness alot of things are backed online.

A change is coming....... the Rep Series ------
well, its going to have a subtitle like the last one; perhaps a good name is "When Principles Turn into Deceit"..... or "manipulation and deceit = FAILURE". I like that one. I have always gravitated towards in your face/hard hitting themes. I was working on the show order in Houston at the end of March....and was at a loss for one song to complete the DD suite---well, not anymore. I believe the opening song will be "Falling Down".
More later...... and there will be more goodies and alot of angry people!

Rep Series: change{l}ings

If you are an old Bowie fan youi'll understand the "changelings" thing! Fans of old music--where would the new generation be at today without them! Old INXS {which is what is playing right now--"Taste It"} .... good voices and common sense {well, not all}. But some great music!!!! Anyways.....

I have to do a re-arranging of my original setlist. I have not done any Simple Minds since 2007. That is almost 3 years. A new album and a solo album has come out since then!! {I don't really like either one}. I honestly prefer DD's What Happens.... {don't tell Jim!!} Well, if you listen to the playlist and scroll thru the songs you'll see Home. This was to open RDC's 2006 SM suite--was not to be. Its a mix of classical jazz and now it has a bit of Middle Eastern and ballroom. Of course there is New Sunshine Morning, which I absolutely just LOVE!! See the Lights {on the playlist it is live--didn't know that} and *All The Things She Said are almost identical. So, I am listening to the playlist {SM songs} to get an idea of what songs to pull for this Series.

Of course there is going to be the Duran Duran suite as well. As well a bit of Led Zeppelin, Queen+ Paul Rodgers, and some others I haven't thought of yet...probably some old RDC material. Although, I might finish Dani California....really love this one--though, it's weird and all.

So, there will be an electic mix of repertoire --in terms of music!!
